  • Is betting baseball still fun to you guys

I just cant take the disappointment anymore. Its not about the $ Im not betting over my head at all. Like yesterday lost the 2 early games that were very close. Then I bet the Yankees LOSS up in 9th, I manned up and bet big on over 8 Twins/Angels and it was good, but pushed as they failed to score the last 3 innings. Then split out on Tigers and Lad.

Sorry Im not really ranting I just dont feel like betting baseball for a while. Does anyone feel similar???

Also I liked the Mets yesterday after reading that Lee was going to be on a 70-80 pitch count, but I didnt think Mets would sweep them. I think bullpens/closers have gotten so bad that it makes it hard for me I guess.

      No, not fun.

Trust me I know this is gambling, I have been doing it longer than some of you have been born. Baseball was my favorite sport to watch and wager on. Not anymore.

LWA, go ahead and RANT ... This is a talk forum. Talk about whatever you want to talk about. Maybe you can liven up things around here.

Im thinking when I do bet baseball I may just bet the exact opposite of what I think. Yesterday that would've been nice. I hit 15 straight baseball bets 2 years ago and there just aint no way in 2012.

If you are losing AND not having fun.............STOP.

Trust me. This is how people can get into trouble.

Gambling is ALWAYS fun when you're winning and sometimes fun when you're holding your own or losing. When it ceases to be any of these, stop for awhile. Come back for football or WNBA or tiddlywinks but if you're not liking it, quit, at least for awhile.

Yeah. My record is not good at all on -160 faves on up. Ive never seen this many dogs come in.

My advice would be bet the dogs, but watch the Favorites start to win.

Bullpens have been awful for a few years now, they will kill you and it will be painful.

I am best at bases, always take dogs or -120 or under faves. I typically finish with a .500 record but up money for the year.

Make 5 wagers a week, all dogs and you will have more fun.. I promise

I lost yesterday on the brewer bullpen and Houston in the 12th inning.

For the week though I'm 2-3 and basically even, you see the logic?

If I'm 2-3 and all three losses are -160 I would have been pounded, but hit 2 + 130 and lose 3 even money bets and it doesn't hurt.

I hit KC last week + 251 vs Verlander, them dogs do bite.

                      It's baseball, anything can happen

Im down 600 bucks for the last month I havent had to pay, because I only have to pay my bookie when Im down 500+ after Sunday. So this will take total dedication if I stopped today and I might do it and take up yoga at the same time. Its been right damn at 400-470 each week and it just keeps getting rolled over. So Ive hung in there Im just tired of it!

Halladay lost as -270 favorite vs. Cubs, then lost again as -170 vs. Mets this week. I dont bet those big ass favorites of 250+ and I hate betting -1.5.

or I could bet 150 on a fave or risk 100 on a dog to not have to pay up, but I kinda just want to quit and quit following the games and wasting so much time for no money.

My current record ( this is from a handicapping contest i participate in for money)

                              jcindaville 15-*15-*0 50.00% +*317

Like i said, .500 capper but when you do dogs it makes baseball fun and much lower risk
