Add Looieville's Charlie Strong and Arkansas State's Gus Malzhan. I know it won't happen because someone will hire him but I would love to see Petrino never get another head coaching job anywhere. He is a nothing but a liar and a cheat The word sleazy comes to mind when I see Petrino or hear his name.. Real good role model for the young men he would be asked to coach.

Charlie got the snub every time an opening became available in the SEC. Many have said he was snubbed because of his race and who he is married to and that combination wouldn't mix well in the South Eastern Conference.
I don't personally know why he was passed over so many times, I'm glad he was and glad he is here. Dude can coach and he has integrity, proud to have him and his family in my home townQuestions, comments, complaints:

Some guy called in sports radio this morning and said he heard Petrino got beat up by the girl's fiance and rolled his motorcycle down the ravine to make it look like a crash. Said the girl doesn't have a scratch on her body. Be funny as hell if this were true

Petrino's mistake was GIVING HER A JOB. In this day and age, and trust me I know here in corporate America, you can't give your girlfriend a job.
The goof was too cheap to pay her out of his own pocket. He was making over $3 million a year in total compensation and only forked over $20K out of his own pocket.
If he tossed her cash and found her a job with a body at some local business, he never would have been canned. Cheapskatism did him in.Comment
