Fantasy Baseball Question

Ok guys heres my question, Im in a keeper league and I have narrowed down between 2 players. Heres how this league works, where ever you draft the guy the previous year you give up a 2 round ealier pick.{ex...if I drafted someone in the 8th rd last year this year if I keep him I give up a 6th rd pick} you can not keep any 1 or 2nd rd picks. So my 2 are Carlos Gonzalez from Colorado I would give up a 6th rd pick or Desmond Jennings from Tampa and I would give up a 20th rd pick. Id say Cargo will have a better season but I have to look long term and I will be able to keep Jennings for the next 5 years plus if I wanted and I think hes gonna be a stud. Any input would be appreciated.

tough one coach. I could make arguments both ways. I lean slightly toward jennings. Mainly cause you dont lose a mid round draft pick like you would with cargo. upside in jennings long term also.

I'd keep jennings for 5 years over cargo for 1 more, but most likely you find more late round keepers in future year, so keeping CarGo who will much better this year in my opinion makes some sense

To me this is a no brainer u keep desmond Jennings and u only lose an 18th round pick.His avg will hurt u in roto and head 2 head leagues but he will probably steal 50 bases and if u have a category where u get points for walks he gets a lot of walks.

How many teams are in your league I have Carlos gonzalez as a top 20 player easily and probably a top 6 outfielder so wasting a 6th round pick would not be bad either.

probably jennings. you wont find anyone else is the 20th round that good. not keeping cargo u could take someone else in the 6th like a morse maybe?

Yea I actually keep 1 pitcher and 1 hitter, my pitcher Im keeping is Ricky Romero and its codting me my 19th rd pick. Im leaning towards keeping Jennings just because I will have control of him for many more years if I want to. Plus this league has 10 hitting categories, including stolen bases and triples which are 2 of the harder categories to get stats in and Jennings should really help me with these, with his speed. I have to make my decision by 11am on Sunday

Personally I'd keep Cargo. He's a better player top to bottom and he's not much older than Jennings. More power, better hitter,drives in more runs and steals some bases.

U R right Cargo is the better player, but i can only keep him for 1 more year, where I can keep Jennings up to like 7 more years if i choose to, I have to think long term as well as this year
