  • Rams Trade #2 Pick

Washington gives up their next 3 1st round picks and their 2nd round pick this year.

Wow, RGIII better turn out to be a beast.

That is an absurd amount to give up to move up.

I would've made that trade for Luck, not sure about RG3. Without a QB you got nothing. Running QBs are sketchy though

I would possibly do that for a proven QB, but you're giving up a HUGE amount for an unproven player. Though I do think Luck is about as can't miss as it gets, choosing a QB in the draft is the biggest crap shoot in sports.

I agree with you all as well. That is to much to give up IMO.

Though we are talkin the deadskins here. They needed to do something. they havent been a factor in the NFC in what over a decade.

So that means the Skins and Jets are both out of the Manning sweepstakes!

If he turns out to be the QB many think he will, those 2 1st rounders the next 2 years won't mean anything because it will be worth it. You can build with picks beyond rd 1 and free agency and like BW said, without a QB, YOU HAVE NOTHING!

Hell, the Rams may regret not drafting him 3 years from now.

Did you guys see all the guys that Indy released? Like their whole team. Talk about starting over again.

Only one problem with your statement, the Skins can't build w/Free Agency and or draft picks IN ANY ROUND and Snyder has proven that since day 1.

Jets have re-signed QB Mark Sanchez to five-year deal.

That may actually be more absurd than what Washington gave up in this trade.

Well Jimmy, this just may be the 1st smart thing they have done.

We'll see...I like RGIII a lot, but this is a huge risk. Like BW said, I think doing this for Luck is possibly reasonable, but giving up that much for RGIII, I'm not so sure.

                          Per Schefter:

"Jets QB Mark Sanchez's new contract is a 3-year extension for $40.5 million, giving him five total years for $58.25 million, with $20.5 million fully guaranteed."

                          That is nuts...Sanchez stinks IMO.

                            Also from Schefter:

"Trade will not change Redskins plans in pursuing Peyton Manning. Intend to talk with and try to sign him, even if considered a longshot."

                            Interesting

Well based on your own words, what good are those two 1st round picks the next 2 years anyway if all they do with them is screw it up? No loss IMO if he is what most think he will be. If you get a QB for the next 10 years, it is well worth those picks.
