There have been a number of stories about how the Las Vegas books will be crushed if the Giants win (big story in Wall Street Journal a few days ago). Some even moved the line down to 2 1/2 to try to attract New England money.
I've written here before that I am close to two local bookies. Neither is very smart, for what it's worth. Both are overwhelmed with Giants money and will take a beating if NY wins.
One of them, who knows I like New England to win, just offered me +130 to take the Pats at -3. He's just trying to balance his action.
If you go the sites that report who the touts are taking, it is almost overwhelming Giants.
This is all rather rare for the dog to be getting this much action. Books almost always take in more bets on the fave and the over.
