To me this is what it is all about. On the field is one thing. He struggles and everything else but I think he is a great man. And at the end of the day that is more important that anything that can happen on a football field.

This Saturday night, one of Zack McLeod’s wishes will come true. The New England Patriots fan and long-time Denver Broncos fan will meet Tim Tebow before the Pats take on the Broncos in an AFC Divisional Playoff Game.
They will meet on the sidelines thanks to the Tebow Foundation’s “Wish 15” program that grants wishes of kids and young people with serious medical issues.
McLeod suffered a traumatic brain injury during a football scrimmage in September 2008.
It’s been a long recovery process for the McLeods, but as Zack’s mom told HLN’s Vinnie Politan, he has never given up.
“It’s been great watching his recovery in all different ways; getting stronger, learning to speak a little bit and trying to recover some of his memory,” said Tammy McLeod.
And like Tim Tebow, it’s Zack’s faith that has kept him and his family strong.
“I think the most inspiring to me is his strong spiritual life,” said Tammy. “He had a very strong walk with God before he was hit and that continues even now.”
“His faith despite the circumstances is inspirational.”
As for Zack, he’s ready for his big meeting with the Broncos’ quarterback.
“I’m so excited,” said Zack.
