Ok so I amm in a College Bowl Pool.

$200 buy in. It is $3000 to the Winner, $800 to second place. I am guaranteed 1st or 2nd, tied going in with both of us having Alabama, and no one can catch us.

It comes down to tie breaker total.

I have 42 points other player has 28.

SOOOO... regardless of who wins, at a total of 35 we split pool. 34 or Under he wins. 36 or greater I win.

The other participant has contacted me and said, right now he wants to split before game. He has offered he gets $2400 I get $1400 before the game starts.

My question is Do I just take this or ride it out? Not really looking to hedge with a bet on Over/Under

if HE wants to split before the game, it should be 1900 to each of you. you actually have the advantage as the o/u is 40.5 for everyone else, but your o/u is 35.

you're guaranteed 800.....possibility of 3000......he offers you 1400, of which he's just putting up 600, cause of your guarantee.....

I think the guarantee is the same as hedging here, cause you are assured of 800.......

Whatever u have in the account play it on the under.Maybe not everything but if u have $300-$500 in your account why not put it all on the under that way you hedge your bet and could middle the bad boy and win it all.

If game falls below 41 you will win whatever u wager
If game goes over 41 you will lose your bet but win the $3000 pot
If game falls between 35-40 u win the pot and your wager and can take a couple days off work to pick us some good horses

Thanks guys. Yeah guy is a jerk, offered even split felt he had a huge advantage. I said then lets just let it ride. Rooting for those FG to be TD. Come on 36!
