these are professionals in a professional sport who can shoot or let alone dribble

You don't pay close enough attention to the game. OKC was up 25 tonight. End of the benches are playing. Plus, short season, more coaches are going to rest their players. Lot of blowout games so far this season too. Again, end of the bench is playing, clock tends to run more with them out there (less fouls called) etc.
Like anything to gamble on, you have to be on top of it and then have some luck go your way
