Ok, they have hired Epstein so far this offseason and I'm happy as heck about that. But are they going to make any other moves to improve their play on the field?!?! They just let the best and most productive player they've had over the last decade walk and sign with division rival Brewers. Haven't tried to send Soriano and his absurd contract elsewhere. Haven't tried to sign any big name pitching. The complacency of this team PISSES me off

My guess is they are trying to get Fielder. I'm a Nats fan so I'm hoping they get him but I think he'll end up a Cub. I think it will come down to those 2 teams unless Texas decides they want to get involved in the bidding. I'd also imagine the Cubs will try to dump Soriano and what's left of that awful contract once they can find a taker.

The Marlins of course could be a possibility for Fielder as well but I think the Nats and Cubs would be more likely to get him.

I'm hoping you're right! I think they need a lot more help than Fielder though. Their pitching is atrocious...

I'm just shocked they stuck with Zambrano. That's some serious desperation if they are sticking with a guy who quit on them.

They need to eat the Soriano contract, and let Brett Jackson play. Sign Fielder. Garza and Dempster are ok, maybe Cashner, but Wells, Lopez, Zambrano are garb. Really they should put in a huge bid for Darvish. Trade Marmol for some young starters, maybe to the DBacks who have tons.
