Damn, that made the Rockets a LOT better too!

Probably a no brainer that the Lakers are going to get Howard as well.

N.O. gets Odom, Kevin Martin and Luis Scola by the looks of it.

Peeps around here aren't too happy right now cuz we gave up scola n Martin, don't think gasol going to help us get too far...we'll see but if lakers get Howard watch out.

I think Scola was a huge loss. If they could have paired him with Gasol, then i would have liked it. Now, losing him and Martin ... i'm not so sure. New Orleans actually got some real nices pieces to put around David West in this deal IMO. Look for them to be better too

Looks like the deal may be off...NBA owners complaining due to the fact that league owns the Hornets so this smells really bad.

Cavs owner "Comic" Dan Gilbert sent a hilarious email to David Stern requesting he stop the Chris Paul trade, asking if Stern would "just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals."
We had to read it once, then twice, then a few more times before we stopped laughing and/or shaking our head in disgust. Not only was the trade for Paul fair, it was by far the best deal the Hornets could have gotten. The people of New Orleans, struggling to keep their team, were essentially looked over by a group of owners with designs on showing players who is boss. After LeBron James orchestrated the biggest PR disaster we've seen in years, only a herculean effort could have made him look like a saint. Dan Gilbert everybody.

I think the bigger issue relating to this trade being stopped was the Carmelo deal last year not so much Lebron...Lebron was a free agent and was free to sign with whoever he wanted, nobody likes how he did it, but he earned the right to choose the team he wanted to play for. Now in Carmelo's case he basically said he wouldnt sign with anyone besides New York, thus forcing Denver's hand...same deal here they figure Paul is dictating where he is going, and owners dont want to set that precedent...IMO
