i guess i am just stupid what is the advantage to having this option.Why would it be so easy to win.You still have to win both bets you would have to have over first half and over 2nd half to win the parlay right.Dont understand.

I understand that I see what u are saying.What I am saying is that it is not a for sure thing.I UNDERSTAND THE FACT THAT IF A GAME GOES OVER 1ST HALF IT IS VERY LIKELY TO GO OVER FOR GAME.FOR SOME REASON I CAN'T SEE HOW THIS IS SUCH A HUGE ADVANTAGE FOR THE PLAYER AND NOT THE BOOK.PARLAYS ARE MADE FOR BOOKS TO PROFIT.HAVING TO HIT BOTH THE HALF AND GAME TOTAL WITH PUSHES BRING A LOSS SEEMS TO ME THAT IT GIVES THE BOOKS MORE OF AN ADVANTAGE.WHY NOT JUST PLAY GAME TOTAL AND IF FIRST HALF IS LOOKING GREAT TO COVER THE ORIGINAL NUMBER MAYBE BUY BACK SOME POINTS AND PLAY UNDER 2ND HALF AND TRY TO MIDDLE THE BAD BOY.THAT IS A NO LOSE SITUATION.THERE HAVE BEEN DAY TO MANY GAMES START SLOW THEN GO 4 OVERTIMESAND GO OVER THE POSTED TOTAL.

Again not trying to be an asshole just want to help out or either learn something.i know one of the #1 rules of gambling is to stay away from parlaysi just think that if u hqve to win both sides then you are setting yourself up to lose in the long run.with pushes being a loss they set the sides always at 3-7-10-14-17-20-21 type numbers.i would think overtime that this would eventually kill you in the long run but with others here that i know ,know what they are talking about also and they are saying that the books will lose so i guess i am just looking at this wrong.good luck to ya buddy.

My key is hit first half part and then I will lay off 2nd half the opposite way and hope to get the middle. Like if this game is 7-3 LSU at halftime can you imagine.

This is what I would do but who knows I could be wrong.


Bet the total let's say its Lsu and you love the over of 42 so u place a $100 bet on the over 42.Let's say at the half the score is 7-3.

You are not looking good so u look at the 2nd half and see the o/u 2nd half line at 28.

In my opinion best option is play under 28 2nd half and as long as score does not finish within 39-41 u get your original $$$ back.

Let's say total is 42 and the score is 14-14 at the half


Then the 2nd half total is 28

In this situation I would play under 28 and if final score falls between 43-55 you win both ways.

These are just off the top of my head and I have not really checked the math but I think this would be a lot better option than trying to hit a parlay.As I have said I could be wrong and a lot of people I respect are agreeing with you I must be wrong just don't see what you all see.

This is something I found by google...

A correlated parlay is essentially a bet that is tied into another, in that if one bets wins, it increases the odds of the other bet winning. As a rule, sportsbooks do not accept correlated wagers.

My local uses a website and when a particular game falls under that category there will be a NC next to the game...meaning you can not parlay the team with the over/under on that same game.

And on a separate note, Ive never know any book to parlay a 1st half over with the same game over or unders for that matter. Hitting the over or the under depending on which you bet in the 1st half greatly increases your odds of hitting it for the game, not that it always happens...but vegas wouldn't allow you to get an advantage
