  • 2011 Preseason QB Rotations

    Zimbio

One of the major factors in betting preseason is knowledge about quarterback rotations. Most teams will play their veteran quarterbacks about a quarter or 2-3 possessions (save for Game 3) in preseason, because they want to see what the backup can do in pressure situations and they don’t want to risk injury. It can be difficult to judge a backup quarterback when he’s going up against second and third-string defenders, so some coaches will play them early in the first half so they can get the reps.

Here are the quarterback rotations for each team as we head towards the opening week which begins on Thursday, August 11. Changes will likely be made before next week’s first slate of games. We’ll try and update as the preseason goes on. Expect most starters to go about 1-2 series in the first game.
