  • Titletown, USA (Boston)

Boston is the 1st City in History to Win a Title in all 4 Major Sports, in a 7 year period (Elias Sports Bureau).

The record was 25 years and it was held by Chicago (1985 Bears to 2010 Blackhawks, with Bulls and White Sox in between)

Boston is the 1st in which all 4 current coaches hold a Title Won in their City (Elias Sports Bureau).

It is a decade unmatched by any other area in the history of Sports. You had 4 teams attempt to Win 9 Titles and they Won 7.

Patriots (4 Super Bowls, 3 Wins)
Red Sox (2 World Series, 2 World Series sweeps)
    Celtics (2 Finals. 1 Title)
    Bruins (1 Final, 1 Title)

In Cities with all 4 major sports you have your core fans for each sport and you have your fans that love and follow all 4 religiously. Most hope to celebrate just 1 Title in their lifetime or they see 1 or 2 of their 4 teams win and never get that feeling from all 4. Fans of Boston teams have completed the Sports sweep.

You have 15-25 year olds who have grown up knowing nothing but what it feels like to Win. They do not know what suffering is and they just assume it has always been this way. Others (like me) were not sure if i would ever see a Title outside of the Celtics in the 80's.

Spoiled, spoiled rotten is what most are now.

Many transplants who have moved to New England in the last 10-15 years have been on the radio and TV and said this is just unbelieveable. The teams, fans, and atmosphere up here are like nothing they have ever experienced before ... and a ton of fun!

You want a ticket in this City? Good Luck!

All 4 Teams are on current sellout streaks. This is another feat that is very rare to see. Most Cities support their teams but usually 1 or 2 are not winning and sellouts are not consistent. Supporting and selling out all 4 on a regular basis for this long is very impressive.

The Patriots have sold out every game since 1994, the Red Sox have sold out every game since 2003 and it is a MLB record that looks like will not end any time soon. The Celtics have sold out every game since 2007 and the Bruins have sold out every game since 2008.

Boston road teams are also one of the hottest tickets in sports. Road attendance and pricing for their games away from Home at Ticket agencies, and other outlets, are one of the most popular in sports ... for all 4 Teams.

None of the above would be possible without great ownership and every sports fan knows that. All 4 current owners purchased their teams within the last 17 years and it is no conicidence as to why they are all winning. All 4 owners are near the top in their respective sports. They were all willing to spend money and they all put GREAT Coaches & Management in place to get it done.

The scary thing is that most of these teams are not slowing down any time soon. The Bruins are young and signed for the future. The Red Sox will continue to spend and contend every year. The Patriots have at least 4-5 more years of Brady and the very solid team they are building around him and the Celtics are getting old but they will be a contender again in the 2011-2012 season.

Am i gloating? Yes, but that is what Sports fans do and we cheer for our teams because we want to be the best and when we are, we like to talk about it.

I'm ok with the 200 that are about to follow this post too. Whether you admit it or not, this has been a great run by Boston area teams that is unmatched and it is something we ALL dream about seeing in our lifetime. There is no denying that!

It has been a great run. Enjoy it for now because you know what goes around comes around. There will come a time when none of the Boston franchises will win shit. It happens to all cities

I lived that for 20 years already so when it happens again, i'll know what it feels like. The difference back then though was i didn't have the memories to look back on that i will next time.

Yes, I really think it will get done by mid July the latest. Maybe i'm just being hopeful but they have too much to lose if they don't.
