What Is It With Tennessee And Coaches???

Is there any school that has screwed up coaching vacancies more than Tennessee??

They get rid of Philip Fulmer, a national title winner with a spectacular win percentage to hire a punk they should have realized would leave for a more glamourous setting. Then, they can't get anybody credible to replace him and pick a guy who was a mid-packer in the Sun Belt.

Now, they get the heebie-jeebies over Bruce Pearl and settle for a guy who can't even win the Missouri Valley Conference when much bigger names are out there (Brad Stevens, Scott Drew, etc.)

They couldn't even get Buzz Williams to leave Marquette (word is he turned them down to either take a pay raise or talk to Oklahoma).

What is it with Tennessee? Do they want to be Vanderbilt?

Will they fire Pat Summitt next?

Brad Stevens is an attractive coach, but I really don't see him leaving Butler. But when the dollars fly things tend to change..

It can all be blamed on one person and thats Mike Hamilton the AD. I don't think this was a great hire at all and we should have waited for at least a shot at butler or even VCU's coach. Pearl had to go cause the SEC is under such a microscope that as many times he lied and cheated we couldn't just sit back and keep getting violations against us.

When did Tennessee become a school that has to go to small schools for their coaches? Arkansas stole Missouri's coach. Tennessee has to steal Missouri STATE'S??????

dont know about the local weatherman guns,but this dude cleaned house in the athletic dept.when he took over costing some people with some long term tenure their jobs-what can you do to somebody in this economy thats worse than losing a job ?

Wisconsin's top high school player I think is Paul Jesperson and he committed to Virginia and Tony Bennett

Disagree. J.P. Tokoto is on everybody's Top 25 in the nation for 2012 graduates. He was recruited by UConn, Duke, North Carolina and just about everybody else.

He committed to North Carolina on live television on a station in Wisconsin. He has been called the most highly recruited player from that state since Joe Wolf went to Carolina in the 80s.
