Is Roy Williams the most overrated coach in the history of college basketball? The guy can recruit no doubt, but his teams are disorganized, have poor clock management, and have very little discipline. Does he even practice with them? Or does he just roll the ball out and let them play pick up? Having said all of this, I am glad i bought the half point to buy a push on that game.

I agree that Roy is overrated as an in-game coach, but I think he's done his best work this season. Between helping Harrison Barnes turn into the player people thought he would be and making the switch to Kendall Marshall at PG, I think he's done a great job this season.

I agree D, I didn't buy the hook and lost. You're right about no discipline and playing pickup, if they hadn't of missed so many "Sports Center" shots they could of won by 15...

We will see how overrated he is today when the Tarheels beat Duke!!!!! That could be one of the worst comments I have ever seen!!!!!! The guy is 3rd thats right 3rd all time in NCAA winning percentage, has a national championship and been to 7 Final Fours. Just because they didn't cover, you don't have to knock the coach!!!!!

Great post DBurgh! Roy should have won about 7 titles with some of those KU teams he's had. Underachieves almost every year in the Big Dance.

I know what he has accomplished with incredible talent. He is a great recruiter but a horrible in game coach. His teams do not shine of great coaching, they just outperform lesser talented people. If you really watch, and understand coaching, you will notice what I am talking about. It really had nothing to do with them not covering...I didn't lose my bet, just making a point that I have talked to many about, and many agree with me..

I'm a UNC fan so i am biased. With that said, i can't believe this team is in the Tourney, and a #2 seed?

I thought they were heading to the NIT 2 months in to the season. I think he has done a great job without a real leader or superstar on the team. Did i say a #2 seed? LMAO

The game today meant little to nothing to both teams. If Carolina wins, MAYBE they get a #1 seed, otherwise this was simply a glorified exhibition.....Have you forgotten what he did while at Kansas??

Roy Williams is a no doubt Hall of Fame inductee.
