I didn't know who Amber Frey was, I certainly don't know this guy.

If you read Doyle Brunson tweets, then almost all the stories are true and in some cases the amounts were actually even downplayed. He does say though that Walters left a lot out, specifically saying "the late 70's and 80's were tough times for all of us gamblers. Bill didn't elaborate on those times, only the successful times. Oh well..."
