Dave Wannstedt may not be out of coaching for long after leaving the head coaching post at the University of Pittsbugh.
According to a report by ESPN: "Within the next 24 hours, Wannstedt is expected to talk to his former Dallas Cowboys counterpart and current San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner about succeeding former San Diego defensive coordinator Ron Rivera, who agreed Tuesday to become the Carolina Panthers head coach."
However, San Diego is not the only team that covet Wannstedt's services, per ESPN.
The new man in Carolina is also interested via ESPN: "Rivera also is interested in talking with Wannstedt...Rivera needs a defensive coordinator and Wannstedt is a candidate for the job."
But wait there more.
ESPN is also saying that the Cleveland Browns and the Buffalo Bills, all teams in desperate need for defense, are looking to speak with Wannstedt.
Wannstedt won a Super Bowl as coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys and also served as head coach of the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.
