Andrew Luck just indicated that he is going to return to Stanford next year and get his degree. I don't get it. When you are guaranteed to be the # 1 choice what do you have to gain by going back. Remember what happened to Matt Leinert. He would have been the # 1 pick but decided to go back to USC for 1 more year. How did that work out for him. There is always the injury risk. Wonder if it will keep Harbaugh at Stanford another year since they will be odds on favorites next year to win it all.

Good for him. Smart players like himself and Myron Rolle think about their future first and not money. He knows healthy or not he is leaving Stanford next year with a degree. Any person with a degree from Stanford is assured a job with 6 figures. This way if he was a Jason White or flop he has a huge backing to fall on!! Smart move LUCK!!Quitters Never Win, Winners Will NEVER Quit

Locker would've been #1 last year, and now he's terrible. I agree bad move, you can always go back and get your education. Take the millions now. Also, Carolina is a good spot, only one year removed from being good. It could've been Buffalo, so a lot worse.

Hell even if he bombed out, which is highly unlikely, you can take your $50 million and go back to Stanford and get 5 degrees.Let's Hammer the Book.

just throwing this out there and could support either argument i guess..........but his family is already very well off/rich so him waiting a year makes no difference in that regaurd and these potential stars all get insurance policies that pay if he is hurt and cant ever play football or miss significant time.........

Im amazed he is coming back the smart thing to do would obviouslly be to come out and take the money. Im sure when he decided to go to Stanford and play football he was thinking about his education first and his Football 2nd. I give him credit for not taking the easy way out and staying in school im sure his parents had some influence over his decision. I hope he doesnt get hurt and gets to be the number 1 pick next year. You got to respect him for making that choice I know i wouldnt of

He don't even know who his coach is going to be next year.Harbaugh is gone so why the hell come back to start with a whole new system.I hope he changes his mind and goes to Carolina. my falcons sucked till ole Matt Ryan came along. Same turnaround could happen at the Panthers IMO
