Interesting Stat. So far there have been 5 games played on Thursday this year, 1 on 11/11, 1 on 11/18 and 3 on Thanksgiving. It is actually 6 games counting last Thursday but the teams that played in that game, Houston and Philly haven't yet played this week. The point is of the 5 Thursday games the teams that played in them covered the spread the following game in 8 out of 10 instances. The only 2 that didn't cover lost to 2 other teams that played on the same Thursday. Here is a break down
11/11 Atlanta /Ravens played. The next game Atlanta beat the Rams 34-17 and Ravens beat Carolina 37-13
11/18 Chicago/ Miami played. The next game Bears beat Philly 31-26 as a dog, Miami beat Raiders 33-17.
11/25 NE/Detroit, Dallas/Saints, Jets/Bengals. Next game NE covered against the Jets 45-3, Saints beat Bengals but Bengals covered as a home dog, Dallas beat Indy 38-35 as a dog and Chicago beat Lions but Lions covered as a 5 point dog.
