USC Freshman Running Back Dillion Baxter got one game for a golf cart ride.....AJ Green got four games for a jersey...several of players missed games bc of the Miami party....but this guy gets shopped to by his dad and is eligible...Makes sense.

Another sorry example of how the NCAA exists for the sole purpose of making money and not for the so-often stated BS line of "student-athlete." Auburn/Oregon in the "national championship" game will make tons of $$$ for the NCAA whereas TCU/Oregon wouldn't make nearly as much.

So this ruling should set a great precedent for all the parents out there of future CFB studs!!!

Do you think if Auburn was 9-3, this same outcome would've occurred. Although we'll never know, I'm gonna guess that good 'ole Cam wouldn't be playing on Saturday.

Section 14.01.3.2

"If at any time before or after matriculation in a member institution a student-athlete or any member of his/her family receives or agrees to receive, directly or indirectly, any aid or assistance beyond or in addition to that permitted by the Bylaws of this Conference (except such aid or assistance as such student-athlete may receive from those persons on whom the student is naturally or legally dependent for support), such student- athlete shall be ineligible for competition in any intercollegiate sport within the Conference for the remainder of his/her college career."

I know I will get drilled for saying this but asking and receiving are two different things. Reggie Bush's folks asked and received. Cams dad just asked and didn't receive. Shady as hell out of his dad IMO but Cam,Auburn or Miss St did nothing wrong. JMO

So he switched last minute for no reason? I'm just not buying it. Also, the NCAA plans to change the bylaws so this doesn't happen again...interesting.

And the investigation is not over so I don't think we've heard the last of this. Like I said, if Auburn is 9-3 at this point, no way Newton isn't suspended.

You can bet alot of loopholes will be filled after this year no doubt. Did Cam know his dad was shopping him? Probably but it can't ever be proven.
