  • DISCUSSION - OU vs. OSU (PLEASE CHECK OUT)

This is an attempt to get everyone on board to share opinions and discuss a game so we all can share our knowledge/opinion/insights with each other to hopefully bet correctly on a game and WIN!!

I don't post much for various reasons and I'm not a tenured member, but I think we can all AGREE the drama/division on here needs to end. I can only believe from what very little I know of Wayne and Spark that the intention of this website was to share info to help each other WIN!!!, (not fighting and just GL's)

That being said, I'd like to get a good discussion on the OU / OSU game tomorrow before many of us place our bets. I've got mixed opinions, think the line is odd, OSU always chokes, OU sucks on the road, etc.... Please share your thoughts and feedback!!

I started the year great and up $$, but the last month has been brutal... I'm guessing many of us are in the same boat.. I may be way off base with this thought and probably sound gay, but a big win for everyone would be awesome!

My pick would be OU +3 based on the fact OSU never seems to win the big one...

Also, if this one isn't a solid play for many, than please share other game thoughts. The point of this forum is to WIN, right?

I hope you lose no matter what you bet!!!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding man. I'm kinda with you on OK. Stoops has a huge tradition of pride.Only thing that scares me is that I thought Mack Brown would be able to MAKE his players win that game last night. He tried but it didn't happen.Maybe OK is really not that good and no matter what Stoops says can't make a difference. I'm taking the points but I'm not going large at all. Good luck in whatever you play

I like NC State tomorrow -2. I don't like the OSU game. Their defense is suspect.

How serious is Blackmon's ankle injury?

From what I've heard, no big deal... plus, gotta figure everyone's a little beat up this late in season.

Although there are many factors to the game, I believe it comes down to which Landry Jones shows up. If he can somehow show up with composure, him and Broyles can play catch all night against the 108th ranked pass D in the country. If the "deer in the headlights' Landry shows up (which we've seen @Missouri and @Texas A&M) I think OU will dig themselves in too deep of a hole to recover.

What I like for OU is, they've been tested twice in this situation so far this year. Night game, hostile environment, underdog. Will Stoops continue to fizzle out under the spotlight? I follow OU pretty closely and it seems to me that the last few times OU has been in this spot, Bob has his team has come out with a chip on their shoulder.

Oklahoma State hasn't been threatened by many explosive offenses this year. The one good offense they've seen this year they surrenedered 51 to Nebraska. OU can put up some points and quickly. On the other hand, OU hasn't been shutting down many people this year. The 3 headed monster of Hunter, Blackmon, and Weeden would/should give the OU D some fits. The linebacker play for OU has been porous this year. Austin Box back in the lineup has made this group look decent the last couple games. They shut down a pretty potent Baylor offense last week on the road. Still, I think the balance of Hunter getting about 5-6 a clip will open up the passing lanes for Weeden.

Basically, I think we're in for a great game here, but over the years it's no conincidence that when you think OU you think "Sooner Magic" and when it's Okie State you think "Poke Choke"

                Sooners 42-38

ok state is 9-2ats on the year and won 4 straight against the #. They won 4 straight earlier this year against the # before losing and not covering vs. nebraska. I like OU here as a trend play going against a team thats won and covered 4 straight games. OU wins by 10

I think another potent offense in Tulsa lit them up too.

Yea, they had like 6 turnovers in that game. LMAO, just remembering that they fumbled in the victory formation and gave Troy another chance to win that game. Hell, it just may be thier year

As for the Pokes, their defense seems to get better every week. Who would have thought they would beat Tex Tech and UT on road in same season (as well as be 10-1)? They had their chances against Neb. and IMO, they would win in a rematch.

Any thought to the line? Last year when OSU was 9-2, OU was favored by like 8 or 9 points, at home which is almost a given.

Sure seems like the line pulls people to the Pokes
