I have a question on the Pats game.
Remember when Detroit kicked a field goal with 2 seconds remaining in the half.
Now if you recall the ball was caught in the middle of the field and Detroit immediately called time out.
Wouldn't it have better better for the Pats once they saw he was going to catch it in the middle of the field not to tackle him immediately, ie let him run out the clock himself-he would have never got to the sidelines in time to get a time out and he would never have scored a touchdown either.
What I am saying in short is that if Pats had played it right, the guy would never had got the opportunity to kick the field goal(not that it ultimately mattered).
Do you folks think I have a point here and/or did any of the announcers say anything about this? I had the sound off as we were eating.

i thought somewhat the same thing, but what if the pats play possum but don't get him down? then the lions score 7 instead of 3. don't think the announcers mentioned it either

Well all I know(and I just checked it), is that late last night when I played it at Bookmaker, the line was -3 -135.

Sorry-I stand corrected. I did play the ml but also bought it down to -3 -135 as another bet.
