As a Sox diehard, I am of course delighted that the Yankees got knocked out, but more importantly, it is nice to see a team which has never even gotten to the World Series to finally get there.
Now all we need is for San Francisco to get here to make it a an entirely different WS with two new teams for a change(tough shit if the network regards it as a marketing/programming disaster-TRUE baseball fans should be delighted to see at least one new team in there and hopefully two!).
