    Most locals avoid these too.

    As a general rule, books hate parlays where the side and total are the same bet.

    In other words, a team is -40 and the total is 48. Obviously they're expecting the fave to score a lot of points. if they cover the 40, chances are that means the total has to go over as well. The parlay becomes a way of getting a bigger payoff on the same bet.

      I think it's pretty shitty regardless.. If you offer teasers and pars it shouldn't matter. The books don't care when you bet a straight bet or parlay... But get antsy when there is a huge spread out there.. Adjust the line accordingly like you do for every other game. Yes as a book I got killed last night but it happens... Give the players a bone and forget about it... As always shit can happen where they may not cover anyway. To limit IMO is not good...

        Good example is last week with Boise st... Boise covered the 40 points but it didn't go over 58... Jmo... I see why people think books suck!
