BCS Selection 8:15 ESPN In-Game/Discussion

I haven't read this thread, so I don't know where everyone stands on this, but any of you who think that Boise doesn't belong in a BCS title game, or TCU, or Utah for that matter, because they would never win as many games in the almighty SEC, blah blah blah...The one thing I will say is,

beat them in the bowl game. Just win the GD game. You have 5 weeks to prepare for the game, your team is as rested after the 'tough' schedule you play, as they are. Go out there and knock them on their asses. Guess what? You haven't been able to do it yet. Alabama couldn't beat Utah, Oklahoma couldn't beat Boise and neither could TCU.

Throw out all the regular season games, it's one game, you against them. Just win the game. Because you haven't been able to do it yet, all the whining comments about how'd they lose X amount of games in the SEC is horseshit. They are straight up equal since both teams get 5+ weeks to prepare. Until you knock them on their ass in a BCS game, you have no argument about how many games they'd lose in the SEC. It's all speculation.

KAZ anyone can get up for one game. If Boise had to play in the SEC they would not be undefeated simple as that. They never play close games cause the competition sucks. Most of the time Boise is playing the scrubs by the 4th quarter. In the SEC you have guys playing the WHOLE game and have alot more injuries. When has Boise lost a big time starter? Guys get carted off the field every Saturday in the Big 12 and SEC. It's big Boy Ball over here

Listen KAZ.When you go undefeated and are one play from going to a National Championship but instead lose the SEC Championship and end up in the Sugar Bowl it's going to take more than 5 weeks to heal from that.I took Utah that game.Utah wanted to be there and Alabama had no pride at all. Boise is a good football team and any given day they can play with anyone in the country.They couldn't do it over a season though. Boise would be another Arkansas/Kentucky/Miss St in the SEC. Their not going to play for championships but they upset someone every year.

I would love to see Boise and TCU be the only two undefeated and see if the BCS lets them play for the title or take a 1 loss team from Pac 10/Big 12/ SEC.

Or I would love to see Oregon,Aub or Oklahoma play one of them and wax their ass so we don't have to deal with them being in a bcs game ever again cause they play to weak of a schedule

I agree with most of that, but it's a vicious circle. They can't get better because they don't get the pedigree that those teams do, nor will any decent team schedule them because they are scared to play them. They get second level talent that wins because of heart, coaching and desire. Give me that any day.

To me, the whole argument about them not being able to win every game in the SEC is just BS because at the end of the year, it's a one game playoff with both teams having equal time to prepare. To say they don't deserve to be there is just elitist mumbo jumbo. They deserve a shot at the title like anyone else does.

This system sucks ass because there is no playoff's in place. This is no different than basketball Vols. Except there's a 64 team playoff and ANY team has a chance to play in the title game if they win out. Well, we don't have that, so it becomes a one game playoff, and sorry, but they haven't lost one yet.
