Not that the Giants can hit, but c'mon, the Braves lineup is struggling and going against that rotation, not sure how they'll score. I actually thought they would be a higher number than the Phils over Reds.

I took a gamble on the Yankees when it was reported that they were "very close to aqcuiring" Cliff Lee. They were a little over 3 to 1 to win it all..definitely regret that now but it was worth the risk at the time...anyhow I think Phils will roll through the Reds and/or Braves...Giants match up with pitching but lack offense......Halladay and Oswalt will minimize the bullpen work and leave less room for them to screw up........I hope

Oh okay, wasn't sure which way you were thinking but yea, Giants should handle them with Lincecum potentially pitching twice and having home field

i agree 100%.It will be almost impossible to beat PHILY in a 5 game series. You have to Face HALLADAY {GM 1} OSWALT {GAME 2}HAMELS {GAME 3} BACK WITH HALLADAY [GAME 4} AND IF IT GOES TO GAME 5 OSWALT AT HOME PITCHING.THAT IS GOING TO BE A TALL ORDER.

I really can see the phillies winning the series in 3 or 4 games and oswalt pitching game 1 of the division series.

I can see the san fran atlanta series going the entire 5 games which really hurts that team because if it goes 5 games they are using the top 2 pitchers they have and they are going to start the divisional series against the phillies using at least thier #3 pitcher.philly should be the clear cut favorite to win the national league.also dont forget that the national league has home field advantage so thats another reason philly is the favorite.the american league is going to be a crap shoot with texas minnesotta yankees or tampa all having a legitamate shot at winning.the team, thats offense gets on a roll is going to win the american league.all the american league teams match up pretty even in starting pitchers.

They have a shot just going to be hard going against Phillies rotation.

People are forgetting the National League has home field advantage this year.

This has been a huge edge for the AL in the past. (last eight years in a row AL had home field).

The AL is the better leadgue (by far) but the NL has home field.

In post-season the key has been (forever) three strong starters and a closer.

This points, IMO, to the Phils, Giants and maybe the Rays

I certainly do, but they both have to win their series first. I could be mistaken, but the 1st rd of the MLB playoffs never seem to go as scripted. Unlike 95% of Phillies fans and the national media, I'm not writing the Reds off by any means. I actually think there's a good chance the series goes 5 games.
