As another season ticket holder (Mark we need to get together on game day), here is my take.

With the O-Line struggles, Vick gives the Eagles a better chance to win games now. The goal is the Super Bowl!!

Vick is a great athlete and has become a better qb than he ever was. However, he beat the Lions and everyone is jumping on the Vick bandwagon.

McNabb was traded so that Kolb could be the future and now you switch to Vick? So, it was really McNabb for Vick. Even I would take McNabb.

Kolb has been groomed for this for 3 years now. He gets 1 half against perhaps the best team in the NFL. During that half, he gets something going and here comes Vick in for a play or 2. Way to put your young QB in a position to succeed Andy. Even Aikman commented about that.
      Here is my issue:
On Monday, Andy Reid told Kolb and the media that he was the starter. Tuesday, he changed his mind. What changed and why would you flat out lie about the situation? IMO, Kolb is the better long term solution and now has no trust in Reid and why should he.

      Let's see what happens Sunday.

        Zeib,

Reid changing his mind after being so sure of himself really makes him look bad imo. I think that the guys in the locker room may have even swayed him possibly?? Either way, Andy Reid has lost some of my respect and I was always a Andy Reid fan and know he is a great coach but I cannot understand why he layed his cards on the table like that.

right now i think vick gives the eagles a better chance to win games(right now).with that said kolb had a horrible preseason and it carried over into the regular season.reid made a choice early in the week naming kolb the statrer and i don't think the owner expected that.i believe the owner made this move to vick.reid is and was always afraid to replace the starting qb with the backup and i think he played the same cards but the owner said, not so fast andy an d then they talked and the move was made back to vick.hey i don't care who vick played against last week,he went out and did his job, good call as i see it and im not an eagles fan at all, just a football fan who likes to see the best players on the foild,......oh by the way did i mention VICK IS ON MY FANTASY TEAM ,LOL

Oh i have Matthews on another team. In three 14 team leagues i'm (0-6) after 2 weeks. Just horrible matchups, luck and injuries for me already!

Did you miss the last two eagle games? Easily Vick has put in a top 5 QB performance so far this season. So you would sit a QB that is on a roll?

Wow, against a unprepared Packer team not ready for him and a shitty Lions team and you are ready to put him in the Hall of Fame or something Come on bro, see Vols post.

When teams decide to contain the pocket and force him to throw from it, you will see a different guy, his history is what it is.

that is what i stressed to some of my friends that love the eagles, that a bunch of Vicks stats came in garbage time against a gb team that was easily out in front....though we all know what a prevent defense does for you ???

I know its only been 6 quarters. He does look like a whole different player. Reid has a good track record with his Qb's. I still would of played Kolb but at least Vick does look good and they have a good chance to make the playoffs now.
                            2010: 23-12 +37.8

                            09-11 5*s and up: 34-7

glad to see your on board with vick mark, i remember last year that wasn't the case, but like you said he does look like a whole different player and yes i followed him from virginia tech through atlanta and everything. I admit he flaked out in atlanta. You also have to admit that i told you last year, vick will be the starter by week 3. quite a few people laughed at that 1.

Did anyone ever think that maybe michael vick finally gets it ! yea he made a lot of mistakes along the way but the guy realizes he has his last chance, he's had second chances, this is the last. He is making the most out of it so far, and like you said mark the playoffs are reachable and when you have the best athlete on the field with the ball in his hands, hey why not think superbowl. If im ever up their during season maybe we can get together with zeib, he seems like a cool dude we just disagree on the kolb thing.

I believe in working with what you have, not waiting a year so someone can go through growing pains, it's been 3 years, everyone raves about this kids 2 games, but the fact is the eagles are a better team with vick at QB right now.

****BTW the eagles only planned to keep vick for 1 year because they had to pay him quite a bonus to keep him for this second year which tells me nobody on that staff has 100% confidence in Kolb. I also believe in the locker room theory, those guys like and want vick as the starter IMO.
