  • FF Advice welcome...

I have the 4th pick in 12 team standard non PPR league. (draft on Saturday 28th) Today I was offered a trade by the team with the 2nd pick. He offered me his 2nd round (pick 23) and 3rd round (pick 26) in exchange for my 1st rounder at 4. Obviously if I were to accept, I would not get a first rounder but I would get 4 out the top 28 FF players.

    5* 0-0
    4* 0-0
    3* 1-0
    2* 1-0
    1* 0-1

I'd do it. You'd basically be trading Ray Rice/Frank Gore/Michael Turner for like Brandon Marshall and Jonathan Stewart or something like that. Since you'd also have two picks in those rounds, you could have like Pierre Thomas and Desean Jackson or something like that. It gives you a really sold 4.

      I'd say no way!

Your 1st pick is around 20th??? No Thanks. You don't give up a stud in FFB IMO

If your best RB is Jonathan Stewart, you could be in trouble. The guy did nothing last year because of nagging injuries and there is no guarantee a Brandon Marshall will even be there BW?

Hey BW, would you trade a Ray Rice for Marshall and Stewart if somebody offered that to you? I wouldn't and i'm guessing you wouldn't either.

Both of these arguments have been going through my head all day. I mean, every year its someone from the top 5 who turns out to be a bust. And I am confident that I know enough to pick some solid position players in round 2-4. I dont know what the move is here. The guy offering me the trade is not the sharpest knife in the droor either.

Well, I wouldnt but I think Marshall winds up being a bust this year.

For the most part, 1st round picks will be your best player barring an injury. Picking at 20 just gives you a bunch of 2nd rate guys to start your team imo

I guess it really depends on who is there when your 1st two picks eventually come up. You have no way of knowing that so it's a chance you take i guess.

I was just throwing those names out because they go around there, but I don't think getting a 2nd and 3rd for the 4 pick is bad. Top 3 no way, but I'm not sold on Gore, Rice, or Turner, so I'd do it. In a 14 or 16 team league I would definitely do it, but 12 is a little more sketchy, but I think this year the 20-30 picks are pretty good. Also, players will fall to you. I'd trade Rice for Desean Jackson and Greg Jennings.

Another question..... Is there a draft software or web site I can get for my computer to take with me to the draft to make the whole process easier?
