I agree here. He won 2 extra games that a decent qb couldnt have pulled out Then he threw a pick in the nfc championship game that a freshman qb throws in high school.

Who knows they could be even better concentrating more on the run and keeping that defense off the field.

The vikes d is flat out nasty. A more run first offense while controlling the clock makes this a more dangerous team.

Lay off that crack pipe KB. As a Ravens' fan I know for a fact what a strong D and a good running game get you, nothing. The NFL is a quaterback driven league. If you don't have one your in big trouble. Had the Ravens had a good QB through most of the decade they would have won at least one more Super Bowl. Without Favre the Vikings are

Having Favre behind center gave the Vikes an identity and had to be a morale boost for the whole team. He gave them things that Jackson can't. The guy is great and I agree no one man can win alone but he definitely was a huge factor in the Vikes success last year!

Totally agree bryce. You are kidding yourself if you don't think favre made a positive difference for that team. They had no shot without him and they were 1 o.t. from the SB with him. There is a reason why the whole team wants him back and its because they don't trust any other qb on their team!

Besides last year, its been a while since the ravens have had any sort of ground game.

As always with the 40-year-old star quarterback, things could change. He has waffled before and very well might waffle again.

What if he is retired and the QB for Minn goes down in week 2-4.The talk will all be about Favre again.I think he's done for now but something could always lead him back

I can see it now, Week 5, after the Vikes bye week, Monday Night Football Vs. NY Jets, out of the tunnel comes Brett Favre with a superman cape on!!!

That sucks, I wanted to draft sidney rice. i guess I can get more value with him since he may drop in the draft.

I usually agree with kb on these types of things but I disagree here. QB in football is the ultimate impact position. Favre made them a lot better.

By a lot, I mean maybe three wins (in the NFL that's huge).

I strongly believe Favre will not be the Vikings QB but think it's possible he may "come out" of retirement in mid-season and be traded to a team whose QB goes down.
