    • My Take on this as most of you know that I am a HUGE Wade fan but can't stand James. James gets every call, has a below average jumper, quits when facing tough times and so on and so on.

The media....Was it true that the James family leaked Wade and Bosh to Miami so Lebron would have all of the lights today. He WENT to ESPN to do this show, not the other way around. This was throwing extra salt in the wounds of Cavs fans. Why did you need a show to announce what everyone knew at lunch time.

Legacy? Do you think that Lebron doubted himself and had to go with Wade.

What does he owe Clev? Nothing.....BUT. Please dont say they didnt offer enough as you were the only player (team) to have the #1 East seed for 2 years and not win a Finals game. They did everything that they could and you still couldn't win.

A-Rod and Jeter....The Heat are and will always be Wade's team just like the Yankees are Jeter's team. Lebron is ARod who has all the individual awards but no rings. BTW, Wade has 1 and it appears he will always have a 1 up on LJ.

I think the person that said it best was Sir Charles. "At 25, why wouldn't you try to win a title with you as the guy? You win 1 in Cleveland, you are HERO for life. You win 3 in Miami and you were suppose to win those. Kobe did not get credit until Shaq left, how will LJ get credit since Wade ALREADY won 1.

Although they will be fun to watch (I may even buy 76er season tickets), I hope that they fail and do not win.

          • I dont understand why people say LBJ is taking a pay cut. He will make 100 mill over 5 years (mia) versus 130 over 6 years (clev). Nearly the same yearly amount. At the end of the 5 years who knows what the cap will be, he will make that amount up likely. Also there is no tax in fla so the money will be about same.

            • Bottom line, Lebron going to Miami mainly because he wants to win titles.

              I know, what a f'ing d'bag!

Stay in Cleveland and never win a title...yea, he's loyal, but "he's no Jordan or Kobe."

Go to Miami, Chicago, etc and win a title and it's "well, he had to get help to win a title."
Miami is help to win a title. Chicago wouldn't have been. He would have been a star with more or less role players. Bar, Rose, but he is more or less what Pippen was to Jordan. The Heat, imo, is Wade's team and still will be after this year, despite what a superstar everyone thinks LbJ is.

                    • The Cavs owner is ANGRY....

                      WOW...

                      Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ’KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

                      Just watch.

                      Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

                      Dan Gilbert

                      Majority Owner

                      • IMO, DWade= Jeter and Lebron= Arod. I guess Bosh= Mark Texeria. I thought that since they were below the cap going into the FA period they will not be able to exercise mid level exceptions like Boston did with O'Neal. They will only be able to offer players the minimum once they go over the cap. We'll have to wait and see what the final contract #'s are before we have a good idea of who the can sign.

                          • God damn vols, anybody that watched those games could see that. If they can't admit it than they are just hanging on to Lebrons nuts with envy. He clearly quit and the Cavs owner didn't say it earlier because he knew right or wrong, they were still a much better team with him if he stayed. The Cavs waited on him hand and foot and tried to keep him there. Some acquistions may not have worked out but they tried. Hell Lebron had all his homies on flights and everything and Gilbert allowed him to do anything he wanted so it shouldn't shock anybody that he feels this way today.

I also think the Delonte rumors had some influence on his performance. But I remember MJ literally being carried to the bench during TO's when sick in playoff/finals. Cream rises. (no racism there!)
