Quick whining story about a bet I made yesterday. Last night I played a $100 parlay on the Dodgers -1' runs +210 and the Netherlands -1 -130 in soccer today. The payout was about $500. The Dodgers are winning last night going into the 9th inning 6-2 and they bring in their closer Broxton, who immediately gives up 4 runs. The Yanks go on to win in 10 innings so there goes my parlay. Nevertheless I decided to take the Netherlands -1 goal for $100 today. The Netherlands are winning 2-0 with about 5 seconds left when the ref rules a penalty kick for Slovakia. They promptly make the penalty kick and the Dutch win 2-1 giving me a push. That's almost like losing 2 NFL games on hail Mary passes. Some days it ain't meant to be.
