  • Chipper jones meets with braves to discuss retirement

It could be now or at the end of the season. He is meeting with Braves officials today to see what "red tape" he will have to go thru.

Listen guys,I give him more shit than anyone but IT'S TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These last couple years he has gone to shit because of injuries. Here's some numbers I dug up:

He won MVP in 1999 hitting .319 45 hr and 110 RBIs and then put some great numbers up for the next 4 years

Then 2004 comes along and he missed 25+games for the next 5 seasons.

2008 he missed 25+ games but won his first batting title hitting .364

2009 he batted .264 the lowest of his career and has done very little this season.

Maybe why I get so angry with him being hurt all the time is cause when he was healthy BOY DID HE MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LINEUP.
IT's sad because he was a great player no doubt but IMO I will always remember him for being soft

you're right, but as a guy who watches the braves every game, he sure is frustrating...
