west is san jose 1 seed versus detroit 5 seed and Vancouver 3 seed vs chicago 2 seed.
i knew the west was playing more to form, but that's crazy about all those upsets in the east...

San Jose, followed by detroit, st. louis, and detroit again.

just last year, you don't have to go back that far at all.

2009 President trophy winners San Jose Lost to #8 Anaheim

2006 President trophy winners Detroit lost to #8 Edmonton

      2002 #8 Montreal beat #1 Boston

2000 President trophy winners St. Louis lost to #8 San Jose

      1999 #8 Pittsburgh beat #1 New jersey

      1998 #8 Ottawa beat #1 New Jersey

1995 #8 New york rangers beat #1 Quebec

1994 President trophy winners Detroit lost to #8 San jose

Since 1994 #8 seeds actually have a 30% chance of beating the #1 seeds, and now that it happened this year that % is now higher.

It was the 1st time in history that a #1 Seed blew a 3-1 lead to a #8 Seed. ESPN said that last night. I guess i figured there had to be a 1st somewhere in that choke job by the Caps!

Just goes to show that in the playoffs in professional sports there is no such thing as a series changer quite like the hot goaltender. An NBA player can get hot and win 1-2 games but always cools off. In pro football a QB can change a game but ultimately a single loss can throw them out. In baseball a hot pitcher can only play twice in a series. Unbelievable that the Habs win this one. I hope Halak can stay hot man. Be interesting to see if he can keep it going for a series or 2 more.

No thrills, frills, spills or write-ups. Just givin ya the winners everyday.

Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
              Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

Am hoping for a Habs/Bruins Conference Final also...

Fucking brutal loss last night man so fucking funny the baby treatment the officials give Crosby...no other player would draw a penalty for just simply being pinned to the boards and trying to get away...such a fucking joke!!!

That wouldn't make it rare if it's happened on numerous occasions though...
