Gotta boil or steam them and make them great for dippin' in that butta!
No boiling. Just cut the shell down the middle. Pull the lobster out of the shell and rest it on the top of it without disconnecting it from the shell. Bake it for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. After, I like to put it on my grill for a minute or two for a little grilled flavor.
I've never had a boiled one since I had it that way. There's no rubbery taste and it's so tender. I swear!

Kaz, I've had them baked. I've had lobster fried. I've had it steamed and i've had it boiled. I've had lazy man's lobster too where you cook it, clean it all from the shell, put some butter in a baking dish, lobster on top and either crumbs or a seafood stuffing on top of that and bake it. I've had it all brother and NOTHING compares to a good old fashioned boiled or steamed lobster cleaned from the shell and dipped in butter. That's how we eat it up here 99% of the time. You go buy lobsters and either boil them or steam them up.
Our debate was whether the lobster tails were pre-cooked or raw. I've always thought they were cooked once than frozen and you reheated them before eating. I've never seen them cooked from the raw state. Believe me, i've had them but they are no where near as good as a fresh lobster right from the water, to your plate, to the bowl of butter!

Do we really need to go back to this lobster debate? Isn't it my birthday and didn't i simply reply to vols?
Anyhow. Glad you've tried it baked. They mostly come here to Cali. frozen and uncooked, as tails. When they are boiled, they turn out rubbery. Not very good. When you thaw them and bake them, they are tender and perfect.
Glad you ate 3 of them. I envy that. Lobster is by far my favorite dish of food.

Lobsters may be expensive elsewhere but they are pretty cheap here.
