  • Anyone here working out with P90X?

I just started this weekend and curious if anyone here is working on with it and the results they have seen.

I've done it before, and it will get you in great shape, but not because it's some great innovative thing, but because the workouts are crazy. If you have the motivation to do it, you'll get in great shape. Each a bunch of chicken, eggs and salads while you're doing it, and the results will come quicker.

Thanks buddy. I am just through Day 3 but hanging in there. I am actually pretty excited about it and have needed to do this for some time. I will have a harder time with the actual nutrition side of it and sticking eating better than I normally do...

Once you get through the beginning, it should be easier and easier, but you gotta stick with it. Your diet doesn't have to change that much, just try to cut out sugars.

I am doing the P90X and have gotten results. The hardest part is doing it 6 days a week. I did it for the full 6 days the first month. Then I missed a couple days but I tried to miss on yoga or the stretch. But I added in some running and some general workouts to stop the routine. But I love the different stuff you do and the fact that its not only cardio and lifting. Its different movements, lifting, cardio, and yoga all in one. Keeps things different.

And for Insanity. I downloaded that as well and that is just nuts. Some of the videos are ok but some of that is really really tough. If you are not already in pretty decent shape do not bother with this program.

I have a couple buddies who have tried it and nobody has had the motivation to stick with it. Apparently it's the hardest thing ever to stick to. Need to have major motivation and lots of time on your hands for it. Also being in decent shape to begin with is good I heard

Today I finished Week 9. I have 4 weeks remaining. I have not missed a single workout in 62 days. Day 7 is optional stretching or rest day. I've done the stretching.

It is an incredible workout. Very hard. What I love most about P90X is it does not get boring. Every day is a different workout. Then during recovery week there's new and different workouts. Same with Phase 2. Phase 2 introduces two new resistant workouts.

Frank...what type of results have you seen
How much time do you spend a day.
Do you do this at home or the gym.
Can you describe what one workout would entail.

                              Frank or anyone...
