Get why the eagles wanted him out...but within the division?!?!? Andy Reid may have just made the Skins the team to beat inthe NFCE and that makes zero sense! Should have shipped him to Oakland.

When Shanahan took over the Broncos, Elway was 34 with a rep of not being able to win the Big One...McNabb- same rep and 33....

And to hear n the radio all of these Eagle fans ripping this trade on the radio after they basically ran the guy out of town...STFU!!!!

i like mcnabb...i will always remember that 4th and 26...i'm just saying that he was a 9-12 qb last year with the eagles (with talent around him), so he will be a 15-18 or worse qb for the hapless skins...todd collins, campbell, mcnabb, it doesn't matter who's back there when you don't have protection...

my whole point is that snyder continues to make bad decisions and this one is no different...he thinks he can fix his team with one drastic move, but that's not how an organization is run...i wish mcnabb all the best, but he's walking into a beartrap behind that line in washington...

you could put peyton manning or tom brady at qb in washington and they might be 9-7 at best...

mcnabb will miss at least 4 games due to injury, and the redskins will finish next season 6-10 or 7-9 and they will miss 2 draft picks...that's not that great of an improvement imho...

After being told last month that the Eagles would not deal him to NFC East-rival Washington, McNabb essentially forced Philadelphia’s hand by refusing to talk with any of the other teams that had expressed interest in recent weeks. In the process, McNabb can now take out his simmering anger on the Eagles’ front office that essentially forced him out of a city where he had played his entire career.

FROM YAHOO SPORTS---reporting that MCNABB forced this deal to the skins by not talking to any other team...mcnabb's choice??

McNabb, who is in the final year of his deal, made this happen by making it clear he wasn’t going anywhere else but Washington. When the Buffalo Bills expressed interest – and even were willing to give McNabb a contract extension – he passed on the offer. When the Oakland Raiders sniffed around and showed willingness to trade for the quarterback without an extension, McNabb indicated to the Eagles through his associates that he’d retire.

Not surprising that he would want to stay in that division. Sorta like Favre again.

I'm a huge eagles fan, and i am one of the few that wanted to keep Mcnabb. maybe because i remember the eagles before he was an eagle ? For whatever reason eagle fans have never liked him, straight from the LOUDEST boo i have ever heard in a draft room until now....yet he did all the above for the franchise ? I am an eagle fan......Kolb won't last in that city. He won't even come close to touching any of those above records, and it hurts to say these things because i am an eagle fan. I see no way in any galaxy how this makes the eagles better.......It actually improves every other team in the NFC east. IMO

ALMOST every eagle fan i know would rather go the playoffs and have a legit shot at a Super bowl than save $$$. 11 seasons with the eagles, 8 Playoff appearances, 5 NFC championship games, and 1 super bowl appearance. Kevin Kolb played in 2 games so why in the hell are people giving him more credit already than Mcnabb ever got ?

                      I am an eagle fan......SO I HOPE I"M WRONG !

Redskins to "win" the super Bowl before trade was at 50-1

                        After the trade 20-1

Seems to me the experts think he still has some game left.

The odds would drop if you took over for Jason Campbell too!!!

IT IS VERY early but it looks like for now i'm right, I still stand by my statement that kolb will never be able to even come close to doing what mcnabb did for that team...EVER.

2 games in and so far mcnabb is hurt and has a division win vs dallas and had a 17 point lead (on what looks like 1 of the hottest team in the league right now) that the redskins defense gave up...he did put up 27 points.

as for the eagles situation all i can say is VICK, VICK, HOORAY ! I know i made a prediction on here about this, just can't seem to find it in the search, but my fellow BC bird fans know i stated Michael Vick will be our starting QB by week 3...what do you know it's week 3.....i'm pretty sure kolb shook off that concussion by now, doesn't matter, Michael Vick is starting ! He gives us a better chance to win than Kolb, i don't plan on changing anyone's mind, but i sure feel better with vick than kolb.

1 thing you have to admit, when vick came in in week 1 they started playing a lot better on both sides of the ball and that was against the packers, not lions.

I was obviously trying to find the thread where i made that prediction but couldn't so i figure post in here for what it's worth.

I am an Eagles season ticket holder. Here is my opinion.
I think Kolb is going to be a very good QB for the Eagles. He was the only QB in NFL history to throw for over 300 yards in in his 1st 2 starts. His 1st 2 preseason games he looked very good. He struggled in the 1st half vs Green Bay and got a concussion. Should he have lost his job? In most cases no. Kolb is the future of this franchise but Vick did look incrdeible in his 6 quarters of play. I think with Kolb as there QB this year they were a 7-8 win team. With Vick I see 9-10. Vick gives them an outside chance at the playoffs. So , I dont see the reason to switch QB for 2-3 wins when either way they are not good enough to win a Super Bowl. I'd rather let Kolb go through his growing pains this seson. By the time next season started the Defense would be more NFL caliber and Kolb would have the experience under his belt needed to lead this team to the playoffs.
                                2010: 23-12 +37.8
                                2011: 4-0 + 20
                                09-11 5*s and up: 34-7
