............and trust me, this was NOT Andy Reid's decision. He was the only person that wanted to keep him. Kudos to Joe for making the trade!

The 1 thing i would NOT have done though is trade him within the division. No need to face him twice a year.

They did not learn anything from Brett Farve going to the Vikings...

Thankfully, I have had my Kolb jersey for over a year now just in case they get sold out.

No doubt in my mind they are better. Kolb is a much better passer than McNabb was. Stronger arm and more accuracy.

No doubt. I'm sure he will sign an extension there too because you know he is comfortable playing in that division. They have the money and a solid defense with 3 capable RB's in Portis, L Johnson and W Parker. If they could get him a No. 1 receiver, they have a good shot at the Playoffs!

how many games has he started in his career and versus who and he is better passer than arguably one of the better players in eagles history? he beat the chiefs in his only career victory.

wow, this will either be good or the eagles team will be blown up.

This year alone theyve lost will witherspoon sheldon brown donovan mcnabb, bryant westbrook kevin curtis etc.......

History is exactly that mm, history. Mcnabb isn't now what he once was and it was time for Philly to move on before having to pay him a boatload of money in May and next season. You drafted Kolb a few years ago, he knows the system and has shown he can play. Get out while the getting is still good with Donovan. He simply isn't the same guy who could run around and make plays anymore. He turned in to an older pocket passer who was almost injury prone lately. Get the young guy in there and let him go!

Philly is saving 17.2 million over the next year with this deal and getting draft picks. Great move and it will open up plenty of money to play with and fill holes as needed.

looking forward to see how the eagles do in one of the tougher divisons in football on a weekly basis.

either way nice gamble on washingtons part. They werent going to win with jason campbell.............

and im sure they will be pumped as hell to play the eagles twice this year.

can't think of any highly regarded qb i'd rather NOT have with the game on the line than mcnabb.

ditto...brady would suck behind that line...that's why dan synder is on the level of an al davis as an owner...he gives up draft picks for an old, inconsistent, unintelligent quarterback instead of filling the big holes in his team...snyder has proven himself fancy for flash over quality time and time again, and this move is no different...
