I did not watch the clip but you can always request a photo of the finish from the stewards at Tampa and they will send you one.

I usually have a great eye for the finish line,,,and that looked pretty solid for the 5. The only thing that might come in to play is the bob at the end by the inside horse and the camera angle. But I would have called the 5 myself.

The line is where the mirror is.

If you freeze-frame, Odysseus actually gets the nose down. When I watched the race, I was also convinced it was the #5.

More importantly, it is very rare for a horse to re-rally like Odysseus did. He looks like the real deal. he'll probably run one more time before the Kentucky Derby

The angle of the camera is off. Look at the photo 7 wins. I watched this race and kept rewinding it to try to see who wins before it was official.

Amazing--close for me to call--has there ever been a tie?
Maybe a stupid question as I don't don't my horses but wow what a Smack in the face buddy.

I actually thought thatvit was gonna come back a dead heat because of how long it took forthe photo. But look at the photo and odsyus did win. Not by muchthough

I have seen it once though the winner posted wrong at aqueduct a few years back. The photo wasn't even close and they put up the wrong winner. I believe they even appologized for the error later that day/next day.

It all depends where the camera is located.its posted at every track that the camera is not actually 100% at the finish line. They set it up about 10 feet past so i am sure everyone has seen the photo where they post this.its at all dog tracks and if you were sitting before the finish line the outside dog wins after the line the inside dog wins clearly
