What happened to the in game threads?

I would think since march madness is coming up and the NIT some of these games are important. Plus didn't MLB pre-season start today?

Nobody cares about MLB preseason and nobody really cares about in game threads outside of football. They have all made that obvious here for years now.

When there's football there's 16 games, that's it on Sundays. With NCAA theres 50-100+ games daily. With football everyone is rooting for or against more or less the same team(s), it provides more conversation. With basketball one guy who bet La Salle +10 has no interest in talking to a guy who bet Richmond -3.5. It's rare a group of people are on or against the same teams in the same game. Maybe that will change come tourney time when the fields thin out and there are less games on less days.

On a related note, just logged on, and on the main page, there are 9 Rant/Politic threads to 4 Picks threads. It's just weird to me, being this is a sports site. I don't have a problem with the Politics forum, I think it's good for the site, I just wish people were as interested in sports/betting as they were politics here.

I agree with you mavs, seems like more people want to talk politics here more than sports, and when i load my page there is almost always more political threads than "sports" related threads.

It also seems that there are A LOT less people on this site these days just in general. Even this football season was a lot less than last year.

Plus basketball is so fast paced and changing.You could post how bad a team sucks and by the time someone replys that team could be up 10.

The Rants at least bring a little life to this place.

Very easy to select the members picks forum from the menu and bypass the rant threads.

You guys misunderstood, I don't have a problem with the Rant forum. I just wish there was as much discussion about the upcoming games as there was about Politics. That's all I was saying. I don't have a problem with the forum in the least.
