Preseason doesn't count, this did and there is nothing wrong with letting the starters finish what they started. Why did Dallas have their starters in? They had ZERO chance of winning right? What if one of them tore an ACL or MCL and was out 12 months?? You ain't mentioning that. It works both ways and injuries are a part of the game.

Wayne being on the losing side in the playoffs wouldnt call for you to so call empty the bench. To keep STARTERS in on the WINNING team is just not smart due to an unforseen injury that would keep him out and making your team less competitive in the next game.

Win Im coaching a ball game I keep my starters in when the game is in the balance. I take my starters out when its been decided.( not enough time for the other team to come back.) I keep my starters in if Im playing a better team when losing so my guys can try and run a play that will help develop their skills.

If I did what your suggesting crush the opp. show no mery, no respect!!!! Then I would have been fired years ago. Ive had my azzz handed to me many times and have returned the fav when in turn. Iv had eleven staright winning seasons and 5 straight championships with another undefeated season currently. I remember the teams that CRUSHED ME the first 5 years and remind them often. But when Im up big I show class and respect for the opp.

I see your point of view but I live it and It pisses me off when we teach/support classless acts on the field/court.

Name me one coach that has been fired on the Pro level for pummeling opponents elliott? Just one?? It simply doesn't exist and isn't true. They would receive a raise every year so that is BS really.

and i'm sorry elliott, but you are not Brad Childress or in the NFL. You really don't live it. Coaching kids and coaching Millionaires is not even close to the same. Sorry.

I am sure that most QBs, especially Favre want to be on the field as the clock runs out and take that last snap and celebrate on the field instead of the sidelines.

Players wont give a shit about it by next year.

Exactly right flare and in those moments, you don't tell the guys who brought you there to get sit on the bench and let the backups celebrate on the field. That is the difference between kids and pros.

That is like saying if the vikes went to green bay and were down 27-3, can u honestly say they wouldn't try to rub it in our face and try to score 50 on vikes if they could, but then 90% probably would laugh cuz it's farve, and i would too..but the better team won both of those meetings....You play 60 minutes and don't throw the classless act out...Classless is running to the opposite team and acting like brookings, that's CLASSLESS

I wont defend Brookings other than to say he got caught up in the azz whoopn and left it on the field. He plays with a lot of heart. Unfortun. it wasnt near enough.

Leaving your starters in to prove whatever your tryn to prove with game in hand and risk injury just doesnt make sense to me.

Would you want to be the fan of a Coach thats got to stand at the podium and say( after Favre gets sacked and injured dropping back for that extra TD on 4th down up 24 with less than 3 min to play) " well the reason we left Favre in is casue we really wanted to play the full 60 min and prove that we were unstopable. I was willing to take that chance so in the NFC Championship we will play Jackson. "

They go to N.O. and get blasted with Jackson you think Cildress is getting a raise for the extra azz whoopn they put on the Cowboys? PLEASE!!! Spare me the arguement.

If a coach wants to run up the score on an opponent that's their perogative but why not be honest about it. Why didn't Chilly and Favre stand up and say after the game that they couldn't stand Dallas and/or Jerry Jones and were teaching them a lesson. Instead they make some assanine comment as to why they were throwing a TD pass with 2 minutes left in the game, up by 24 points.

On the other side, the "Young Gun" Romo was busy staring at the roof of the Dome (6 Times), gift wrapping INT's and fumbling 3 times like he did in Seattle! Romo should work for a charity instead of the Cowboys because i've never seen a man give as much as he does!
Tony Romo is the best QB in the league!

                          LOL CHADO!!!!!!!!

The three winningest QB's the last three years............ Manning,Brady,Romo. Not bad.

Romos been a starter for 3 years. Too early to give up on the guy.

Regular season wins mean nothing except playoff seeding. You play to win playoff games and ultimately a Championship. Brady and Manning have those Romo has none and just one playoff win. I cant see the Cowboys ever winning a Super Bowl with him. They need to search for a new QB if they are ever going to win one. Some guys just arent good at handling playoff pressure and choke consistently. He is one of them for sure...

More like 4 years but who's counting. He started 11 games in '06

06 he was not the starter for the beginning of the season. Hes only been a full time beginning of the season starter for three years and hes top 3! I never said he was a great QB or gonna win 5 Superbowl. He is a good QB and you dont accidently win 36 games in three years.

The jury is still out on Romo and you may be right Chado but to write off a guy after 3 full seasons and to have the stats he has is premature. A dozen or so teams would surely want a QB of Romos Ability.
