I am so fuckin sick of people crying about Millionaires getting their feelings hurt ... PLEASE!

I used to go to Foxboro and watch Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas and Andre Reed score 45-6 wins on us and they were still running their offense and scoring late in the 4th. I never hated them for it, in fact, i always wished my team was that good. Fuck these babies. If you don't like it, do something about it besides crying like a fuckin 2 year old. It's professional sports for christ sakes!

Go wipe your tears with $100 bills. Brooking is a little crying BITCH. College, High School or Pee Wee, i would call it BUSH League. This is the Big Stage called the NFL boys, if you don't like it, stop it or stop crying!

I've coached at the high school level and have been on both sides of this.
There are certain things you don't do, just out of respect. But that works both ways - if Dallas wouldn't have called those timeouts, there could be a bitch.

When the game is out of hand, BOTH teams know this and BOTH teams need to let it end. I'm not saying Minny was right, but they weren't wrong either. Dallas should have let it end, and then Minny would have also. I know you "play hard" until the "whistle blows" but that works both ways.
If Dallas wanted it to end, they had the first opportunity to wave the white flag and they didn't.

If Brooking showed that emotion in the 1st qtr instead of the 4th, maybe they would have stayed within 30 points. Sorry, i have ZERO pity for any PRO team that lays down and gets their asses beat. They should have been yelling at each other, not the Vikings!!!

Ive been coaching High School and College Summer League for over 15 years. It was pretty classless in my opinion. The last thing Minny wants to do is 1. leave the starters in when they were completely dominating on both ends and 2. give future motivation. See the two azzz whoopins the Eagles recieved.

I am a Cowboys fan and I do like Minny has they have a real nice group of young players along with the vet QB to get em over the hump.

What would the Minny fans and Cowboy haters be saying if Favre would have goten burried on that last pass by Ware and got his season ended. We would be hearing all the Vikes fans crying why why!!!!????

If you hate the Cowboys thats great. If you love the Vikes thats great. But to support those decisions as an educated fan , Your an idiot!

Your up three scores. The games over. Kneel it, run it, kick the FG. But to keep your starters in a throw to the end zone NO CLASS NO SPRTSMANSHIP.

I hear well there pros bla blah blah. I guess we should teach the young kids to pound the shit out the other kid so if they ever make it big they will no what to do if presented the situation.

Brookings played is butt and it wasnt good enough. To bash a guy for leaving it on the field and the showing his emotion regardless is called heart.

If i have timeouts Im gonna use them I owe it to my team, my fans and my owner in Phillips case.

But if Im in a situation where I got it locked up. Then I take the foot off the pedal and I get my fkning starters out.

I like Childress and he has done a wonderful job but hes a moron for leaving those guys in.

What comes around goes around THATS why you MAN up and show some fkn CLASS.

GOOD LUCK to the Vikes and Saints as I like them both.

From a coaches/fans perspective. Not for the love of the boys or the dislike of the opp.

I say again if you support what the vikes did with their starters in with the game in hand then you got hater blinders on.

I don't think any wrong for the last TD @11:29 minute in 4th quarter. If you look back
the Viking history, they lost to Chicago and GB when they was 3 TD ahead with 4 mins left the game, Jim and Farve did 3 TD in last 4 minutes.

My sentiments exactly. One of the reasons I started this thread is I couldn't believe Chilly would leave his starters in like Favre and Peterson and risk injury when the game was already over. Why didn't he have Chester Taylor and Tavaris Jackson in the game. He could have had Jackson throw a TD pass. Why have Favre do it. That's why I thought maybe Favre was paying back the Cowboys for something they did to him earlier in his career. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but the move was classless. Vikings will have to play Dallas next year. I am sure the players won't forget it.

Good points about leaving your starters in there at that point in the game.

I think Childress is stupid to bring himself down to the level of the players after I heard his press comments about it.

That would have been funny if Favre got hurt on that play and miss another chance at a Super Bowl.

Maybe the Vikings got sick of hearing who the hottest team
in football was. Dallas did enough running up the score in
past years since Favre became Green Bays starting quarterback to the present. Alot of teams are guilty of this
especially the last couple of weeks of the season when
games no matter either way. Minnesota is one of the top
four teams in the NFL this year and that why they're in the
NFC Championship Game. I'm not a Viking Fan, but I can admit
they have a great team on both sides of the ball. New
Orleans verses Minnesota could be a better game than the Superbowl.

but once again, calling timeouts is OK, come on people...dallas extended the game longer then it need too....if they started calling timeouts and i was the offensive coordinator, i'd say FU and i'm goign to score against your over hyped football team....poor brookings

Farve has started 285+ straight games, the chances so far threw his career of getting hurt is 0%, no need to take him out unless he asks...

Here is another angle. It was a 4th down play and the goal is to get a first down.....period. If they would have gotten a first down w/out scoring a TD they would have kneeled it. Dallas was stacking the box for the run, so a pass play was the easier call. The short routes were covered up, so Favre looks up and see Shiancoe open. Guess what a QB's instinct are? Find the open man and get it to him. It was an 11 yard pass play too, some of you are making it sound like it was a 50 yard bomb. You needed to get a first down from the 11, odds are most pass plays from the 11 will result in a TD.

Remember, this is a game. If you are a QB and see the short routes covered up, and a deeper guy open of course you throw it to the deep guy. These players aren't robots, it is a game they have played their whole life and making plays is instict.....a guy is open you throw it to him.

why do you say that? You a typical bret basher?

Who has new orleans played this year, and when they finally did play (we all thought) a very solid dallas team, they got absolutly worked on both sides of the field. They had the easiest sch. in the nfl if you really dig into it. NE is over rated and i'm not really calling atlanta a good team. Dallas was the only one and they got worked, so jump on the N.O bandwagon and our defense will put the fear in bree's eyes and our offense will pick apart a very weak defense of new orleans.

It was obvious the Vikings wewre running up the score. I agree with Brookings when he called the move classless. I know the argument is if you don't like them running up the score, stop em. I was wondering if anyone knew whether it was a payback from another game when the Cowboys ran it up against the Packers when Favre was the QB or maybe against the Eagles when Childress was an assistant coach.

Childress comes across to me as an asshole. My question is why on earth do you have Favre and Peterson in the game with 3 minutes left and a 24 point lead. What happens if Favre went to handoff to Peterson and a guard accidentally stepped on his foot causing him to roll his ankle and making him unable to play next week. Or what if a linebacker shot a gap and nailed Peterson in his knee causing a major injury. I don't get why these guys were in the game except to run up the score.

Hey Childress, payback is a bitch.
I loved every minute of it. These pussys anymore like Brookings are making millions of dollars and if they can't stop a team keep scoring. That Brookings puss isn't doing his job. I am all for running the score up. And totally against these millionaire pre madonnas crying. Grow the fuck up and earn the money youre getting paid. Whats next in the NFL. Oh Brookings got upset cause Minnesota scored a late touchdown up by 24. NFL reply: Oh we can't have this I guess we better quit keeping score!
