Vikings Run Up Score on Cowboys

What did everyone think of Favre throwing a TD pass with 2 minutes left in the game and they were already up by 24 points. It was obvious the Vikings wewre running up the score. I agree with Brookings when he called the move classless. I know the argument is if you don't like them running up the score, stop em. I was wondering if anyone knew whether it was a payback from another game when the Cowboys ran it up against the Packers when Favre was the QB or maybe against the Eagles when Childress was an assistant coach.

Childress comes across to me as an asshole. My question is why on earth do you have Favre and Peterson in the game with 3 minutes left and a 24 point lead. What happens if Favre went to handoff to Peterson and a guard accidentally stepped on his foot causing him to roll his ankle and making him unable to play next week. Or what if a linebacker shot a gap and nailed Peterson in his knee causing a major injury. I don't get why these guys were in the game except to run up the score.

I am not a Cowboy fan either. I just don't know what point they were trying to make other than to rub the Cowboys nose in it. I used to be a Brett Favre fan but the longer he plays the less respect I have for him. Hope the Saints kick their ass.

It's so funny listening to all the farve hatters and just can't accept what he is doing at age over 40 years old. U bitch about how stupid that last TD was, but i never here why Tom Brady was still in when they were up 45-0 against Tennessee and opens up the 3rd quarter and throws another TD pass to Moss to make it 52-0, but that is so different. Maybe instead of resting his players, he's trying a play in which me might use against NO....who cares, dallas once again is over rated and MN made them look like JV team.

NOw the haters will come out and hope NO wins, well this MN team is great on both sides of the ball and i think a manning vs farve SB will be taking place.

Hey I have always called Belechick an asshole for running up the score on teams which he would routinely do. I am not a Farve hater but I am a Childress hater. I assume Favre was only doing what Childress instructed him to do. I hope Chilly gets it shoved up his ass sideways. He really doesn't have any class.

It didn't bother me.If your going to use all 3 of your timeouts to stop the clock so you can try to make a comeback than it's the other teams job to score and put it out of reach.The problem I did have was that fox was hyping it up and you could see Wade Phillips was pissed and they didn't even show the coaches at midfield.The cameras went straight to Brett for his interview.I wanted to see Wades reaction when he saw Childress.Did anyone get to see that?

couldn't agree more....All day long i had to hear dallas this, dallas that in the pre games, and even during the game, but when they started calling timeouts at the end of the game, i was hoping for another TD, and we got one....great job vikes

I agree with this. While the game was likely out of reach Dallas had just used it's T.O.'s to extend the game instead of laying down and conceding. Minny is allowed to call any plays they want. Taking a page out of Belechick's book "class is for losers". There is a different flavor in the playoffs. Teams can be down 30 points and will still call their T.O.s at the end of the game. Why??? Because there is always that chance. You never give up on a playoff game at any score. PERIOD.

Well said watchtower. I love Favre and I could care less about the vikings. I would take Favre on my team any day
