I don't get Muschamp turning down Tennessee. I think that is one of the top 20 college jobs around. I know he is promised the Texas job but when the hell will that be. Mack Brown hasn't said anything about stepping down. Muschamp may be waiting another 10 years or more. I would have taken the Tennessee job unless they gave me a reasonable timeframe to succeed Brown.

The rumor is that Muschamp REALLY wants the Georgia job and if Richt doesn't win big next year, he will be fired and the job will be Muschamps.Originally posted by ravenmaniac View PostI don't get Muschamp turning down Tennessee. Anything could happen, but it would be INSANE to consider firing Richt if he has a bad year next year. The guy is 90-27 (.770 winning percentage) playing in the best conference in football. His winning percentage since taking over for the Dogs has him in the top 10 of any coaches in college. Georgia has the longest mark in college football of at least 8 win seasons. Since he arrived Georgia was won 8, 13, 11, 10, 9, 9, 11, 10 games. We have basically been a top 10 ever since he arrived. It's hilarious to me to watch people freak and predict the demise of Georgia after one "bad" season.....which was 8-5.Originally posted by baseballdave View PostThe rumor is that Muschamp REALLY wants the Georgia job and if Richt doesn't win big next year, he will be fired and the job will be Muschamps.
Muschamp should have taken the TN job, b/c I don't see Richt leaving Georgia any time soon.Last edited by harold_bush; 01-15-2010, 04:13 PM.

muschamp's first choice is georgia and his second choice is lsu...and one of those jobs (if not both) will be available after next season...
tennessee gets derek dooley, which is a decent hire imo...there wasn't too much to choose from...

For once we wish he was right
All joking aside, were going to be bad for a while now IMO.We needed a big name and got a nobody. UGA,Fla,Ala,LSU,Ole Miss,Aub,SC all have better coaches than us so to me it ain't looking good
