I read this on another site and I don't know if it's true, but it sounds right:

Tonight is the first time in the 50-year history of NFL point spreads that a team with a losing streak of four games or more was a double digit favorite on the road.

Don't know what that means but it sure seems like Cleveland is getting a lot of points

I know what you are saying, and I hate that feeling. I feel a little the same about the total. 33 is the lowest I've ever seen, and I feel they are begging us into taking the under. I might just let this game slide on by.

I just threw in a small bet on the over. Brady Quinn is suddenly playing pretty good and Pittsburgh's defense was awful last week.

yeah Gris, that was my basis for going w/ Cleveland. Just seemed like way too many points for a Pitt team that not only had a four game losing streak, but two of those losses were to Oakland and KC, teams the same caliber as Cleveland. Throw in that they weren't playing at home, and the nasty night meant the game had to be low scoring, and those 10 points seemed like one of the easier bets of the NFL season.

Last night was the 17th time in 20 seasons that the road team was favored on a 4 or more game losing streak, regardless of the spread. In those 17 games the road team is 6-11 SU.

It was by far the largest point spread. The previous high was 3.5 Carolina losing at Skins in 2001.

Since 1989 there's been 81 games with the total 32.5 or lower. In those 81 games 39-40-2 is the OU record.

The lowest was 30. Twice. Saints at Eagles in 1991. Saints won 13-6. Then again in 1993. Bengals at Pats. Pats won 7-2 (not a typo).
