excuse my ignorance st bobby, but what exactly is an agent in this instance? what is his purpose?

Mark the agent is just the middle guy that I pay or get paid with every week. The main guy ran an internet site and after the week he would call my agent and tell him what to pay me or collect from me and then my balance would be reset. The agent I know a little from a mutual friend that hooked me up with this this year. The mutual friend don't bet so he don't know one way or the other.

A local book who takes action online through a website with a pay per head service. I go through 5 Dimes and settle up at the agreed figure. 5 Dimes has nothing to with me or him....all they do is take the action and grade the wagers so he doesnt have to deal with it. He just deals with paying and collecting. How on earth would local authorities be able to track or bust someone like this? Prolly just got smacked and is embarrased......do you know if the guy he works for is stable or is he small time?

He has been doing this for about 25 years been popped before and made everything right after everything cools down. (So I heard) On yours did you actually log into 5dimes site or did you log into a totally different site. The site does not seem to be linked with a big site but is powered by bookiemarket. I asked my agent several times about why buying pts isn't offered on all games and why the odds we had to lay went up. EX 10pt 3 teamer was -130 for the year I know I was hitting them with regularity and noticed it went to -150 for them. The agent asked him and his answer was it is not his doing it has to do with Vegas.

I would have to say he is stable. But never met him and would like to keep it that way. Unless I have to hunt him down!LOL My agent bets as well and he said he is owed a large sum as well. He says it will work itself out and be ok. He says he has never not been paid in the past. My problem is saying ok and being patient it might get swept under the rug. But then I don't want to be too persistent. Kinda like the new Bud Lite commercial. Too light. Too strong. LOL

no amount of losing ever hurt as bad as winning a shit load of money and getting stiffed. Usually that story is to cover for some bad crack head decision making such as the local village idiot thinks that he will never lose and "that big week" never does come and when it does.........he has blown all that shit he has collected the entire on whores and dope and then don't have the money to pay off and to keep his sorry ass alive and well.....well he has to come up with a story. I had one guy stiff me a few years ago for 6 dimes and was only able to collect 500.00 of it before I pistol whipped the SOB down and then went to jail for assault. Ended up not being the smartest move I ever made. These days I just have to consider it "part of the game" and if it happens.......there usually isn't a damn thing I can do about it stay on the right side of the bars of the city hotel. Sucks either way........but I can say for sure.......made me want to quit playing and did for two years. Guys I play with now are truly professional in every since and hell they even send their good players "gift" cards and charter private trips for us all over the world. BOL with that situation

Bobby don't take this the wrong way but I think your chain is getting yanked...
I really do--kind of a gut feel but this doesn't add up IMO--I go through an agent as well...I don't get this..

My gut is telling me the same thing as well. I talked to a mutual friend of my agent and he don't bet but did some odd jobs with him and he said the agent was acting weird and stuff. He said this guy never acted like this before and now tried to pay him like 10 bucks for a days work saying that he didn't work fast enough or some sort. I know where to find this agent. I am goin to be patient for a week or two then start putting the clamps down. I am also gonna demand the books name and where he got busted at.

In the future keep your figures at lower amounts. I pay or collect every dime either way so that way I cant get into trouble nor do I have to worry about not getting paid. Not sure how much you bet nor is it my business but usually trouble happens with certain locals at high amounts.

The story that Big Daddy speaks of is rather common throughout the betting world when dealing with locals. When I was betting big sums of money many years ago I made sure the guys I was dealing with had no problems handling it.

If you have doubts first thing to do is find a new book and if that isnt an option keep amounts on a smaller scale. I know the guy I am dealing with now pretty well but I have no clue who is backing him and trust me I will never try a parlay to win like 5K because Im in no mood to find out.

Like I said I keep it at a dime but most of my bets are for 50 and 100 bucks so really nothing to worry about I dont think.

As far as the websites go it all depends on who the bookie uses. I have no clue why mine uses 5 Dimes but thats the main reason I play with him because after all these years of using books 5Dimes is always my favorite. I also have another local as an out who uses BoDog for his numbers so thats always a plus. But I know a friend of mine who uses some site called BetKodiak through his agent and I have no clue what that even is or if they are even a real book or they just lease out the software for the pph users. Who knows, I really hope u collect.

A quick update. I know the site is down the ids and passwords don't work. I have been in contact with my agent. I am feeling more and more confident that he is lying. He can only give me this guys first name. Also asked where this guy got busted he told me he didn't know the info. He told me when it happened he had to go in for questioning. I think he would know that info in that case. So I told him I don't think he is being totally honest and I hold him responsible. He just says if he hears anything he will let me know. That isn't good enough for me anymore. Just gettin more and more mad. Don't want to go through the hassle of depositing money offshore. My bank puts a hold on my debit card when this happens and that causes way more problems/embarasment than you know. Being at grocery store with lots of groceries and my card not working cause of a hold from my bank. That was not a happy phone call. So now I am trying to find another local. I just like the convenience of collecting. I had some run arounds trying to collect from offshore accounts. I always got paid eventually but just a pain sometimes. Also they charge international fees to put money in and they take money out more fees when you collect.

My agent contacted me today. He can hook me up with another place he bets. Does he think I am fuckin stupid. Even if I did does he think he will get paid if I lose?
