Charlie Weis' record at Notre Dame is EXACTLY the same as his predecessors.
Weis is 35-24 and will be 35-25 if ND loses at Pitt.
Bob Davie went 35-25.
Ty Willingham went 21-15.
35-25 and 21-15 are both exactly 58.3%
That's right, if Weis loses Saturday his winning record will be the exact same percentage, down to the decimal point, of Davies and Willingham.
My guess is ND will fire Weis just as it fired Davies and Willingham. It is apparent Notre Dame's delusional alumni will never be satisfied with a level of performance that is all the school is capable of.
So long as ND is holier than thou about academic standards, et al, it will have a record of 58.3%. There's a reason Urban meyer chose Florida and not Notre Dame.
My guess as to the next coach at ND? Brian Kelly of Cincinnati. he even has an Irish name. He'll probably win 58.3 % of his games.
