  • Where Does Brett Favre Rank......

    Among the all time greats?

He's a crybaby, he's an attention whore, he's wishy washy. We know.

But in terms of skill, leadership and ability, where does he rank among the greatest?

IMO I'd put him in the 10-12 range.

Just about right. He has been damn fortunate to play on some good teams with good players.

          I disagree with this...

Who is the best receiver Favre has ever had?

He would be right around 9 or 10 for me.

Being under the age of thirty and not knowing much about football before 1990 I would put him in the top 5. Having not seen Unitas, Tarkenton, or Baugh I can rank him fairly high.

              PK

I was a huge Tarkenton fan. He was my favorite player when he played for the Giants. I'd rank Favre ahead of Tarkenton.

I would to, but not ahead of Unitias.

after looking at all time passing stats and remembering guys like montana, marino, elway, peyton manning, tom brady,
bradshaw, I have to retract probably 6th.

Sorry mavs but he has been durable and has great leadership skills but he has one superbowl and has thrown a shit load of picks.

Count how many of these guys make it to the Hall of Fame. No receiver made Favre.

Antonio Freeman is the best he ever had, and he made the Pro Bowl ONCE.

Favre will own the stats. Nobody will knock him off that horse in the near future. Is he the best ever......NO!!! He has been very fortunate not to have had a serious injury, I would still put him in the top 5 picks or not.
