The whole point as far as I am concerned is that if you want to bet the NBA, based on the empirical evidence of shady doings contained within the book(assuming you believe a good part of it has some merit), traditional analysis is of less value in the NBA than it is in sports where you believe the chances of the former occurring are less or at least less prevalent.

NBA refs have been doing this crap for years...it's easy to say Donaghy is lying because he has an axe to grind...I'm sure that's the line of garbage that weasel David Stern is using...shame on Random House for buckling to Stern's threat of a lawsuit...they knew they would get sued, so why did they go ahead with the book anyway? Hopefully another publisher will pick this up or it can be self-published or even sold on the net...anybody who has watched the NBA over the years knows refs can easily influence any game, particularly playoff games.Originally posted by savage1 View PostComment

I believe it. It sounds to detailed to just make this stuff up. No doubt in my mind that most of that stuff happens. Do i considerate a "Fixed" sport? No way, but they are HUMAN and i'm sure some of this shit goes on!

thanks Kap..anyone know where to get SEC ref assignment info. There is this one ref that always goes under on the total, but I never know what games he's calling until it starts..
