I dont bet hockey much,maybe 20 bets a season but I just learned a lesson tonight.I will NEVER bet the spread on hockey again in my life.I had the Backhawks -1.5 (+165) tonight.
There was no way that they should not have covered that spread.They get a goal with less than 2 minutes left and I felt safe,then they give commit a stupid penalty and give up a goal on the power play with under 1 minute to play.Than,they miss an open net shot at the end of the game.They outshot the Oilers by almost 20 shots.Plus they had a penalty shot.From now on when I have a strong feeling about a spread play im just going to put more down on the ML play.
This was a tough beat tonight on the Blackhawks.
I pick and choose my hockey plays carefully so I think I will profit from this result tonight.
