  • What Matchup Do You Want in the World Series and Why?

Simple question-who do you want the American League representative to be-Yankees or Angels and the National League representative-Philadelphia, Los Angeles or Colorado and why?
My choice is Yankees vs. Dodgers.
I would get to see Manny, Loretta and most importantly Joe Torre up against his old team and Joe Girardi.
I think Torre's knowledge of Yankee hitters would give LA some advantage, although I still think Yankees are way too strong for any National League team and would still win and probably pretty handily.
My second choice would be Colorado vs. the Angels(I would give Colorado ZERO chance of beating the Yankees and think if they met, they would be disposed of/swept like they were in 2007 against the Sox).

Actually Dodgers vs. Angels would be interesting also especially for those in West Coast region and especially for those who live in California.

          Dodgers vs Angels/Yankees

Either one would be great. A championship to either LA team would be great. Nothing against the Yanks, but I would like to see them go down in flames with their gigantic payroll.

For me anyways I think the most boring/least interesting matchup would be Angels vs. Rockies.
I see that not because I don't think it wouldn't be a competitive matchup, but because the name players simply wouldn't be there.
If this miraculous matchup did occur though, I would root for Colorado because they are my favorite National League team because they play so hard each day and because of their great run over the second half of the season just to get into playoffs.

Angels/Phils. Love the Angels Torii's the best. And I cant stand the Dodgers. I dont think Rockies have a shot at making the series interesting if they made it.

I was being facetious. Baseball playoffs have become a joke. Too many off days. The Yanks/Angels don't play for 5 days. WTF is that?

                          It is all about;
                          1) tv ratings.
                          2) trying to keep the next two series together in case the Phil/Colorado series goes the full five games.
                          3) Not wanting to give one of the teams an "unfair" advantage.
I mean wouldn't be "awful" if the Yankees and Angels series started on Tuesday or Wednesday and Philadelphia finished off Colorado today and had to open again in just a couple of days again LA. Oh my God the poor unrested Phillies would be at such a severe disadvantage to pitch, hit, catch the ball and run the bases (and sit on their asses for most of the game and do nothing-nah, we can't have that happening, can we?)

Dodgers and Torre to beat the NY Yankees, so the Steinbrenners can have a miserable off season.......they don't care about anyone elses feelings, so it'd be good for em.......

Thats who I'd like to see play, with that being answered, I picked the Angels at seasons start to win it all......so my $ is on Angels, and my heart on Dodgers...
